Charles and Carole Lundrigan

Charles and Carole Lundrigan celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 13, 2011. Family and close friends held a surprise dinner party for them to celebrate this milestone event.

Since 1965, Mr. Lundrigan (Charlie) is the owner and CEO of Lundy's Ornamental Iron, Lynn, MA where he ("Lundy") has remained a leader in the ironworks industry, staffing a talented group of blacksmiths, iron fabricators and producing top quality drapery and a wide variety of custom wrought iron hardware. Charlie enjoys playing golf, dining among friends and loves to spoil his grandchildren.

Carole worked most of her career as Office Manager for Prosthetic Associates, Lynn, MA where staff treasured her upbeat personality and always going above and beyond to create a nice work flow. She retired several years ago and enjoys volunteering her delicious baking time and treats for the Soldier's Home Veterans in Chelsea, dining out among friends and spoiling her grandchildren. Both Carole and Charlie are known to many, in a very large extended family, for their generosity and being the "glue" that keeps them all together.

Carole and Charlie are the parents of Charles (Chuck) Lundrigan, Robin Howe and Kristin Larson, all residing in Ipswich, MA with their spouses and children. They are the proud Nana and Papa to Caitlin Phelan (23), James Phelan (17), Kelly Phelan (15), Kyleigh Larson (9), Reese Lundrigan (8) and Joshua Lundrigan (5).

We are extremely proud of you Mom and Dad. We are truly blessed to honor you both on this special golden anniversary. We love you dearly, Your children and grandchildren. xo

    100th Birthday Celebration

    Ruth Danjou, formally of Salem, Massachusetts and Ludlow, Vermont, and now of Winter Springs, Florida celebrated her 100th birthday at Bianco's Mona Lisa Restaurant in Longwood, Florida on Saturday, November 12, 2011. It was given by her son Jeffrey Danjou and his wife Andrea with whom Ruth is now residing.

    Sixty years ago on November 25, 1951 Louie and Teresa (Malionek) Jaworski were united in marriage at St. John the Babtist (Polish) Church in Salem, MA.
    Celebrating with them are their three lovely children Pam and Paul Thompson, Paula Remillard, Jim and Melissa Jaworski and seven beautiful grandchildren, Michelle, Aleah, Austin, Rhiannan, Kelsey, Sarah and Nichole.

    Mr. and Mrs. John W. Duffill, Jr. celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
    To celebrate John and Elizabeth (Cunningham) cruised to Bermuda in August with their children and grandchildren, John Duffill, III and his wife Jean of Danvers and their sons, Richard and Patrick and Kimberley, wife of George Merry of Danvers, and their sons, George and Peter.

    Catherine "Dolly" (Caputo) and Joseph S. Tavella Jr., of Salem, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 15 at Angelica's in Middleton. They were married on May 6, 1951 at Star of the Sea Church in East Boston.

  • Adelaide Gibbs, 100

    Adelaide Gibbs recently turned 100 years old on Friday, July 15, 2011.
    She was born in 1911 in Lewiston, Maine. She attended high school in Bethel, Maine, graduating in 1929. After high school, she followed a teaching career where she taught in one of the few remaining one-room school houses in rural Maine, teaching children in all different grades. The school was kept warm only by a pot belly wood stove. She also worked at a resort camp in Maine for the rich and famous.

    On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 2010, Frank and Hope Nerden of 47 Nichols St. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, and on Dec. 4, there was a celebration party held at the Village Green in Danvers. Among the guests were their children, Tim, Kathy, Mike, Kevin, Jamie, and Terry with their families, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
