Geraldine and Eugene Lockard

Geraldine (Sherber) and Eugene Lockard of Salem recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary at their son, Brian's home in Danville, N.H.

Their children include a son, the late Robert Lockard, Brian Lockard and his wife Julie of Danville, N.H., Darren Lockard of Salem, Andrew Lockard and his wife Doreen of Hamilton; and a daughter, Dinah, wife of Salvatore Metta of Peabody. There are nine grandchildren.

Geraldine is a native of Nahant. She is retired and is a member of Grace Church in Salem and helps feeds the homeless at the Salem Mission.

Eugene is a native of Salem. He is retired from the Salem Beverly Water Board and is also a member of Grace Church in Salem.

The Lockard's met at the Nahant Rollerskating Rink back in the '50s.

Their secret to a happy marriage is being honest and communicating with each other. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

    Ruth Danjou, formally of Salem, Massachusetts and Ludlow, Vermont, and now of Winter Springs, Florida celebrated her 100th birthday at Bianco's Mona Lisa Restaurant in Longwood, Florida on Saturday, November 12, 2011. It was given by her son Jeffrey Danjou and his wife Andrea with whom Ruth is now residing.

    Since 1965, Mr. Lundrigan (Charlie) is the owner and CEO of Lundy's Ornamental Iron, Lynn, MA where he ("Lundy") has remained a leader in the ironworks industry, staffing a talented group of blacksmiths, iron fabricators and producing top quality drapery and a wide variety of custom wrought iron hardware. Charlie enjoys playing golf, dining among friends and loves to spoil his grandchildren.

    Adelaide Gibbs recently turned 100 years old on Friday, July 15, 2011.
    She was born in 1911 in Lewiston, Maine. She attended high school in Bethel, Maine, graduating in 1929. After high school, she followed a teaching career where she taught in one of the few remaining one-room school houses in rural Maine, teaching children in all different grades. The school was kept warm only by a pot belly wood stove. She also worked at a resort camp in Maine for the rich and famous.
