    On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 2010, Frank and Hope Nerden of 47 Nichols St. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, and on Dec. 4, there was a celebration party held at the Village Green in Danvers. Among the guests were their children, Tim, Kathy, Mike, Kevin, Jamie, and Terry with their families, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were also joined by more than a hundred of their closest and dearest friends, as well as numerous members of their family and extended family

    Joseph and Marie DiFranco of Peabody recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Sicily, Italy. They were married Nov. 6, 1960 at Holy Family Church in Lynn. A surprise party attended by family and friends was given in early October by their four children, including Joseph Jr. and wife Miranda of Peabody, John and wife Susan of Peabody, Peter of Tampa, Fla., and Christine and husband James Whitehead of Peabody. They are also the proud grandparents of 12.

Their grandchildren include Brian Jr., Richard, Nicholas, Rebecca, Vanessa, Greg, Merrill, Andrew, Scott, Alison, Jesse, and Maxx; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Keegan.

    Their children include a son, the late Robert Lockard, Brian Lockard and his wife Julie of Danville, N.H., Darren Lockard of Salem, Andrew Lockard and his wife Doreen of Hamilton; and a daughter, Dinah, wife of Salvatore Metta of Peabody. There are nine grandchildren.

    Both Salem natives, Lorraine and Ted graduated from Salem High School in 1940 and lived their entire lives in Salem. Ted and Lorraine served in the World War II military. Ted served in the Army Air Corp. as a navigator, and Lorraine in the U.S. Navy as an R.N.
