A wave crashes in the breach of the south jetty of the Merrimack River on Plum Island. Some Plum islanders blame this breach for the erosion that is occurring along Plum Island. The tower at the end of the north jetty on the Salisbury side can be seen in back, center of photo. Seawater also breaches over that jetty.
