Jeanie Marie Kraft, a licensed acupuncurist of Salem, inserts an acupuncture needle on top of Kiki's head, a 14-year-old Newfoundland and lab mix, in her owner's home, Kristine Doll, on Monday afternoon. Kiki suffers from muscle tears in both hind legs, arthritis and Cushings Disease and receives acupuncture and massage treatment from Kraft in her home every Monday. "She's gotten that gleam back in her eyes," smiled Doll, who has noticed a difference in Kiki since she first started the treatments this February.

The hourly rate for city garages has been slashed dramatically, the first of a wave of changes aimed at opening up spaces in the heart of a congested downtown by moving employees and other long-term users to the garages and the streets and lots on the perimeter of the core city. -
