East Boston Savings Bank recently hired Bill Katinoglou as a residential loan officer.
Katinoglou specializes in assisting first-time home buyers. Bringing with him nearly 10 years of experience in loans, he was hired to serve residents of Lynn and the North Shore. Awaiting the opening of the bank's Lynn branch, he is based at the Peabody headquarters and Lynnfield Woods Mortgage Center.
Katinoglou earned associate's degrees in business and computer science at Merrimack College and North Shore Community College. He worked as a real estate agent for five years at Century 21 Advantage in Lynn. He also served as a loan officer at North Shore Bank for two years and at Salem Five Cents Savings Bank for five years. He is a designated loan officer for MassHousing, the state's affordable housing wholesaler.
A native of Peabody, Katinoglou now lives in Melrose with his wife.

Anne Barrett of Newburyport was recently named director of pediatric nursing at NSMC North Shore Children's Hospital.
In this role, Barrett will serve as a manger to the nursing staff at NSCH and will help develop strategic plans for pediatric programs.
Prior to joining NSMC, Barrett was the director of pediatric programs at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Previously, she served as the director of women's and children's services at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H., assistant director for patient care services at Hale Hospital in Haverhill, and director of ambulatory services at Children's Hospital in Boston.
Barrett received her master's degree in nursing from the Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland and her bachelor's degree in nursing from Ohio State University. Barrett holds a certificate in nursing management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Arst has moved his business, Merchant Consulting Group, from Marblehead to Swampscott. Arst will continue to work with businesses in Salem, Beverly and across the North Shore. He started Merchant Consulting Group eight months ago and now manages merchant accounts for more than 100 local businesses. He worked in the credit card processing industry for a year before starting his own business to offer customer service and competitive prices to businesses that process credit cards, gift cards and checks.
