Nathan Panetta has been named show manager for the Jumper Classic, New England’s largest international equestrian show jumping event held at Maplecroft Farm in Ipswich. Panetta has designed courses and worked at the Jumper Classic for the past five years. He apprenticed at the Jumper Classic with Grand Prix course designer Linda Allen for three years. Panetta has also built many of the jumps for the Jumper Classic and was the course designer of ring three for two years. Panetta owns and operates Panetta Show Services.

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce will honor the following individuals and businesses at the Mary Upton Ferrin Community Service Award Ceremony today: Maria Ferri, director of vocational education in Peabody, will receive the Mary Upton Ferrin Award for demonstrating leadership and serving as a role model and champion of humanitarian-based efforts; Atlantic Ambulance Service in Peabody will receive the Business Leadership Award for demonstrating a high standard of excellence in business leadership and community involvement; Melissa Tecce and Deanna Leombruno, co-owners of Santoro’s of Peabody, will receive the Desire King Award, which recognizes a women-owned or -operated business that embodies an entrepreneurial spirit and serves as an inspiration to others; Community Spirit Awards will also be presented to Mary Emeromistis for her service in the after-school language program at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and posthumously to Barbara Doucette for her dedication and love of preserving Peabody’s history for more than 40 years.

Pat Leathers joined the North Shore Community Development Coalition as the director of finance. Most recently, Leathers served as the fiscal director for North Shore Community Action Programs. North Shore Community Development Coalition is located in Salem.

Realtors Gail Guittarr and Abby Guittarr-Beaulieu, both residents of Beverly, joined J. Barrett & Company’s office in Beverly Farms. Guittarr, an accredited buyer’s representative, joined the real estate firm as vice president. Guittarr-Beaulieu, Guittarr’s daughter, became a full-time agent in 2003 after graduating from Salem State with a Bachelor of Science in communications. Both are members of the Boston Board of Realtors.

Milestones

The Witches Cottage in Salem has changed its name to Gallows Hill: The Witchcraft and Ghost Experience and has added a new website, www.gallowshillsalem.com. Gallows Hill is Salem’s only interactive witchcraft and ghost show, which covers the Salem Witch Trials, witches of myth and legend, witchcraft as it exists today, and Salem’s ghosts and local hauntings.

SeniorCare Inc. has opened an additional office in Beverly, located in Suite 106-H at the Cummings Center. Based in Gloucester, SeniorCare Inc. provides and coordinates services for elders and disabled adults to live independently at home or in their setting of choice. SeniorCare Inc. is the federally designated Area Agency on Aging and Massachusetts Aging Services Access Point serving Beverly, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Topsfield and Wenham.

Community Enterprises Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years, which is the highest level of accreditation awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body that promotes quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. To achieve accreditation, Community Enterprises Inc. underwent a peer review process and demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable. Community Enterprises Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides employment and community living services. The organization has an office in Salem.

For the third consecutive year, Honda North in Danvers was awarded the Honda President’s Award for the dealership’s performance in 2012. The award is presented to Honda’s top-ranking dealerships nationwide that achieved excellence in all areas of operation, including customer service and sales satisfaction, sales, training, and facility.

PIP Printing & Marketing Services of Danvers has closed its storefront and merged with PIP New England at a facility in western Massachusetts. Bob and Phyllis Freeman of Beverly will also join PIP New England. PIP Printing & Marketing Services offers digital and offset printing, integrated marketing campaigns, data and mailing services, signage, promotional products, graphic design, and online services.
