Seith Bedard, director and lead teacher at Peabody Learning Academy, was awarded the Teacher of Honor Award from Kappa Delta Phi International Honor Society in Education. The Learning Academy, located at the Northshore Mall, is an alternative high school program for at-risk youth.
Roger Brizard has been promoted to the position of field manager at Kaloutas Painting, a commercial painting company headquartered in Peabody.
Peabody resident Joanne Bonura has joined the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Topsfield as a sales broker-associate. Bonura is a licensed real estate broker associate and Massachusetts real estate auctioneer. She is a member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Eastern Middlesex Board of Realtors, and the site administrator for Brookdale Condominiums, a small self-managed complex in Saugus.
Marblehead attorney Brian LeClair was elected chairman of the Marblehead Conservation Commission. LeClair has served on the commission since 2008.
Jonathan Ofilos has been named a partner at Tinti, Quinn, Grover & Frey, a law firm in Salem. Ofilos has been an associate at the firm since 2009. Prior to joining the firm, he was an assistant attorney general with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
Thomas Zane, a professor at Endicott College in Beverly, was appointed to the board of directors for the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, a nonprofit that works to advance the scientific study of behavior and its humane application to the solution of practical problems. Zane is a professor of education and director of the Applied Behavior Analysis Online Program at Endicott College. He has a doctorate in applied behavior analysis from West Virginia University. Zane is also a licensed psychologist in New York and Massachusetts.
Marblehead resident Stephanie Moio has joined J. Barrett & Company as a Realtor in the agency’s Marblehead office. Moio is a certified buyer’s representative. She is also a volunteer with the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Aid Society.
North Shore Medical Center in Salem has been named one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, a health care analysis firm. The study evaluated performance in key areas including risk-adjusted mortality, 30-day readmission rates, and other benchmarks.
