Jude Griffin of Salem has been named the Safe Routes to School coordinator for the city of Salem’s Mass In Motion Salem program, a state wellness program that works locally to increase opportunities for residents to eat better and move more in the places they live, learn and work. Having moved to Salem from Quincy, Griffin brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit, governmental and educational institutions. She will begin her new role this spring by supporting the city’s participation in National Walk/Bike to School Day on May 7 and conducting surveys on how Salem schoolchildren currently get to and from school.

Barbara Conti of Danvers has been named vice president of human resources at Savings Bank Life Insurance Co. of Massachusetts, headquartered in Woburn. Most recently, Conti was senior vice president and director of human resources at Metro Credit Union in Chelsea. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bankers Association Human Resources Committee, the North Shore Human Resource Group, the Northeast Human Resource Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Association of Employment Professionals.

Cohen Hillel Academy in Marblehead has announced three additions to its professional staff.

Irene Rudnick has been named director of admissions, planning and design. Most recently, Rudnick was head of school at Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island. She has a master’s degree in Near Eastern & Judaic Studies from Brandeis and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Goucher College.

Sigalit Davis has been named the Upper School Hebrew instructor. Born in Israel, Davis has a bachelor’s degree in education and Hebrew language from Hebrew University, where she is presently a senior lecturer. She also serves as an on-site consultant to Boston-area preschool programs.

Andrea Downey was named the school’s art educator in December. She has a master’s degree in teaching visual arts from Tufts University/School of The Museum of Fine Arts and a bachelor’s degree in illustration from the University of Hartford. Downey also owns the design studio Now Name This.
