During the Essex County Cooperative Farming Association Board of Directors’ meeting in September, Clifton P. Elliott of Topsfield announced his retirement as president and chairman of the board on which he served as a board member for 48 years and president for the past 46 years. David M. Johnson of Topsfield will take over as elected board president, while Elliott continues his membership on the board as president emeritus.

Hugh Glazer, a certified public accountant of the WinterView Group in Marblehead, was a featured panelist at Axium Live on “Strategies for Improving Financial Performance in 2014 for Professional Service firms.” WinterView provides fractional CFO services to private companies. Glazer is an adjunct professor at Endicott College.

Linda Cappabianca has joined the Peabody Institute Library staff as the new senior children’s librarian. Cappabianca received her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont and her master’s of library and information science from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to her new role, Cappabianca held positions at Saugus, Hamilton-Wenham and Salem public libraries.

Salem resident Steven Sayers has been named general manager of Square One Mall, a Simon Property Group mall in Saugus. He most recently served as mall manager of Paddock Mall in Florida. Sayers attended the University at Albany, where he received his Bachelor of Science in business administration and information technology management.

Ann-Marie Ciaraldi of Danvers has joined J Barrett & Company as a real estate agent in the agency’s Beverly Farms office. A former professional dancer and area dance teacher, Ciaraldi’s business background includes owning a marketing company for three years.

Danvers resident Andrea McCowan has joined the agency’s Manchester office as a full-time real estate agent.

Dr. Terry M. Smith has been appointed medical director of community-based services for Lahey Health Behavioral Services in Peabody. Smith will oversee patient care and service quality across the outpatient, addiction treatment, emergency, and children’s and family-based services. Prior to his new role, Smith served as medical director for psychiatric services at Marlborough Hospital and as assistant professor at UMass Medical School in Worcester. Smith is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. Lahey Health Behavioral Services is a nonprofit network of counseling clinics, addiction treatment centers and community-based programs for youth and families.
