Phyllis Vray, owner of Sew Creative and Creative Yarns in Beverly, has been inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for business management. Vray’s two stores offer sewing products and classes, textiles and retail services. Vray maintains professional affiliation with the American Sewing Guild and the National NeedleArts Association. She has also been awarded ribbons at the Topsfield Fair and has had her quilts showcased at various locations.

Kevin Snow has joined Beverly Cooperative Bank as vice president, commercial loan officer. Previously, he was vice president, business banker, at People’s United Bank in North Andover. He has also held the positions of business banker and business development officer at various TD Bank locations in Merrimack Valley. He has a Bachelor of Science from Norwich University.

Joshua Woodfork, a graduate of Swampscott High School, has been named executive director of the office of the president and coordinator of strategic initiatives at Skidmore College. Woodfork was an assistant professor of American Studies at Skidmore and at American University and for the past year has been director of the Consortium on High Achievement and Success, a group of liberal arts colleges that works to enhance the success of historically underrepresented students.

Noah Hartman, head of school at Cohen Hillel Academy in Marblehead, participated in “Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership,” a seminar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education this summer.

Michael Minogue, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Abiomed in Danvers, was selected to present at the Morgan Stanley Global Healthcare Conference on Sept. 10 at the Grand Hyatt in New York, City. Abiomed is a provider of heart support technologies.

Milestones

Atlantis WeatherGear, a producer of the sailing apparel based in Marblehead, was the sponsor of the 2013 biennial New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup presented by Rolex. The event, hosted by the NYYC at its Harbour Court facility in Newport, R.I., began Sept. 7 and included teams representing 20 yacht clubs from 13 countries.
