Joseph M. Nowicki has been appointed to the role of executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Beacon Roofing Supply, a distributor of roofing materials and complementary building products. Nowicki will oversee finance, information technology and investor relations and will be located in the Herndon, Va., office. Beacon Roofing Supply has a branch in Peabody.

Swampscott resident Mason Sagan, 13, has launched a greeting card company featuring his own photography. Mason’s cards are on sale at the JCC of the North Shore in Marblehead, and a percentage of sale proceeds will be donated to the JCC’s scholarships. Mason is a student at Swampscott Middle School.

For the fifth consecutive year, Marblehead resident Pamela M. Nottingham, the managing director of investments at Wells Fargo Advisors, was selected as the Premier Advisor in the firm’s Premier Advisors Program. The distinction recognizes Nottingham’s professional success in meeting or exceeding Wells Fargo Advisors’ high standards as measured by one or more of the firm’s criteria for revenue generation, educational attainment and client-service best practices. Nottingham has been a financial adviser with Wells Fargo Advisors for 22 years. She holds a master’s in business from Salem State University and is a member of the Marblehead Harbor Rotary Club.

Salem resident Jenny May and Middleton resident Anne LeBlanc-Snyder joined J. Barrett & Company as real estate agents in the firm’s Beverly Farms office. May has worked as a real estate professional since 2002. LeBlanc-Snyder is a certified stager and, prior to her career in real estate, was a licensed inspector of construction. LeBlanc-Snyder also serves on the Middleton Historical Commission.

Marcie Gingle of Sagan Realtors in Swampscott has successfully completed the Loss Mitigation Certification Course of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. The one-day course explores the tools that Realtors need when dealing with short sales on both the buying and listing side; the process, ethics, laws, contracts and credit issues involved; and how to best approach lenders. Gingle has been an agent at Sagan Realtors for eight years.

David Fanikos was named senior vice president, bank counsel at Salem Five. Fanikos will serve as the primary contact for management and staff on all legal matters, and will maintain an effective compliance system and oversee regulatory and security matters. Prior to joining Salem Five, Fanikos worked at Coady Law Firm as a trial attorney and advised commercial and individual clients. Fanikos graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Suffolk Law School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University, where he also was a member of the varsity football team. Fanikos has also served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer.

Lindsay Otis was promoted to the position of senior catering sales manager at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. Prior to her new role, Otis served as the off-site catering sales manager in the hotel’s sales office. Otis started her career at the hotel in 2005 as a banquet department manager.

The sales associates of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Beverly joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the company’s charitable foundation, in raising more than $76,000 for the Perkins School for the Blind at the eighth annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Spirit of Home Awards Celebration in Boston.
