Mimi Pruett, vice president of J. Barrett & Company, ranked No. 1 among real estate agents in eight communities on the North Shore, according to the MLS Property Information Network, for her total sales volume and total sold in 2012. J. Barrett & Company has offices in Beverly, Ipswich, Gloucester, Manchester and Marblehead.

Danvers resident Judith Cody was appointed to the board of the Beverly Children’s Learning Center as the new executive director. She has served as the center’s finance director for more than 10 years and as interim executive director since June. Cody holds a master-level certificate in human services management from Clarke University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salem State University.

Salem resident Lisa King joined the center as director of education and children’s services and will be responsible for educational programming and services for children and the hiring and supervision of program staff. King has served as a lead teacher at North Shore Head Start and as the director of the Gregg House, an early education and care provider in Lynn.

Beverly Children’s Learning Center is in the Cummings Center in Beverly.

Beverly resident Jamie Blanchette celebrated her 40th year of employment at Northeast Arc in Danvers. She began her career as the executive director’s secretary in 1972 and now serves as the director of employee benefits. Blanchette will receive formal recognition at the agency’s annual meeting in June.

Kaitlyn Ethier was promoted to the role of account executive at Rhino Public Relations, a full-service specialty public relations and marketing agency in Hamilton. In her new role, Ethier will write press releases, secure media opportunities and support the day-to-day operations of communications programs for several Rhino PR clients. Ethier is a member of the Publicity Club of New England and the Society for Marketing Professional Services Boston Chapter, where she serves on the planning committee. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in communications studies and public relations.

Salem residents Rich Bane and Julie M. Shea have been named to the newly formed Board of Overseers at Salem State University. The board will assist the president and university in a wide range of activities that support and advance Salem State’s initiatives.

Bane is the president and chief executive officer of BaneCare Management, a senior care center operating out of Salem. Shea is a teaching paraprofessional in the Salem Public Schools.

Lahey Health, the affiliation between Lahey Clinic and Northeast Health System, announced the following promotions to its senior executive team: Gregory Bazylewicz was named chief network development officer, Derek Bellin was named vice president for institutional advancement, Pauline M. Pike was named vice president for business development, Donald Snell was named executive vice president and chief operating officer, and Mary Anna Sullivan was named chief quality officer. Lahey Health consists of Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Beverly Hospital, and all of Northeast Health System.

Aviv Centers for Living in Peabody made the following promotions and personnel changes: Terry Halliday was named vice president of sales and marketing, Jeff Gopen was named executive director of skilled nursing and will also assume leadership in program development and expansion, Megin Hemmerling was named executive director of assisted living, Nancy Milewska was named director of human resources, Ellen Gordon was named director of resident and community relations, Donna Crescenzo will continue as Aviv’s controller and also assume the responsibility of chief compliance officer, and Nicole Lombard Lee was named director of rehabilitation services.

Milestones

Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston received accreditation from the National Institute for Jewish Hospice for the third year in a row. As a part of the ongoing education required for accreditation, all HNSGB staff are trained in a variety of specialized areas, including Jewish aspects of consolation and bereavement; concerns about entering a hospice; Jewish religious rituals at death and during the mourning period; specific Jewish belief customs and traditions; and the needs of orthodox, conservative, reform and secular Jews.

HNSGB is one of six hospice providers in Massachusetts accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospice.
