SALEM — The Salem Chamber of Commerce has announced nominees for its annual Celebrate Salem Awards.
Nominated for Businesswoman of the Year are Brooke Cambridge of BLC Painting, Gina Deschamps of Deschamps Printing, Helen Medler and Anne Turcotte of Hawthorne Tours, Diane Pabich of the Salem Inn, attorney Sarah Rama, and Karen Scalia of Salem Food Tours.
Nominated for Businessman of the Year are Michael Blier of Landworks Studio, David Bowie of The Picklepot, Tim Clarke of Waters & Brown, attorney Scott Grover, Paul Van Ness of CinemaSalem and Michael Wheeler of Beverly Cooperative Bank.
Nominees for New Business of the Year are Avalanche Company Store, Go Out Loud, Jean-Louis Pasta Shop, Life Alive Urban Oasis & Organic Cafe, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and Salem Toy Museum.
The Long-Term Achievement Award nominees (for businesses with 10 or more years in the community) are Brake & Clutch, Finz Seafood & Grill, Hutchinson Medical, In a Pig’s Eye Restaurant, Lotus Gifts and the Salem Trolley.
Nominated for the Community Service Award are North Shore CDC — What’s the Point, North Shore Medical Center — Cancer Walk, Salem Education Foundation, John Hall of Salem Five, Salem Jazz and Soul Festival, and Salem Philharmonic Orchestra.
Nominees for the Excellence in Retail Award are Dave Eng Flowers, Family Kitchens, Milk and Honey Green Grocer, Peabody Essex Museum Gift Shop, Penelope’s Pet Boutique, and Witch DR.
