Salem News reporter honored by Northeast Arc

The Salem News

---- — DANVERS — Salem News reporter Ethan Forman was recognized with The Northeast Arc’s media award recently for his efforts in promoting the Arc’s mission through clear and accurate reporting.

“A big part of Northeast Arc’s mission is to educate the community about the needs and abilities of people with disabilities,” said Susan Ring Brown, director of development at the nonprofit, which helps children and adults with disabilities.

“The wide variety of challenges our neighbors with disabilities face and the broad range of programs offered by the Arc to meet those needs can be overwhelming. But not for Ethan. He gets it.

“Whether covering Arc volunteers traveling to Washington to advocate for their family members and friends, ArcWorks art openings, the launch of a new program such as the Arc’s Touch to Talk program for nonverbal children on the autism spectrum, or showcasing the agency’s 60th anniversary, Forman’s reporting is thoughtful and clear.”

Forman was presented with a giclee print titled “Head of the Regatta” by ArcWorks-supported artist Matthew Broskie.
