Shawn Potter, a Hamilton resident and the president and chief executive officer of All Care, was named Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Non-Profit Businessperson of the Year. Potter was honored at the chamber’s annual meeting and Business Excellence Awards dinner.
The chamber also honored Sagan Realtors team member Lizete Alcalai with the Volunteer of the Year Award. The award recognizes a member business owner or employee who has become an enthusiastic and motivating volunteer and enhances the chamber’s functions and mission.
Realtor John Fedas joined J. Barrett & Company’s newest office in Marblehead. Fedas is a certified home inspector and unlimited construction superintendent.
Also joining the Marblehead office is Marblehead resident Ken Breen, who will serve as a full-time real estate agent. Breen began his real estate career after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Michael’s College in Vermont in 2012.

Peabody resident Gary Coltin has been promoted to the role of executive vice president at The Provident Bank where he serves as the division head of retail banking. Coltin joined The Provident Bank in 2008, bringing with him more than 30 years of banking industry experience. He is a graduate of Bentley University and the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia.
Steve Bergholtz, a sales representative at the AmSan branch in Danvers, was named the 2012 Sales Leader by the Sanitary Maintenance Magazine, the leading online resource for the professional cleaning and janitorial supply industry.
Having served as interim president since August 2012, Denise Hammon has been officially appointed by the Marian Court College Board of Trustees as the college’s fourth president. Prior to her interim, Hammon served as dean of academic affairs and student services, introduced a new Bachelor of Science degree, and increased the graduation rate to 76 percent. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard University and a doctorate in law and policy from Northeastern University.
