Claire Dembowski has earned No. 1 ranking in sales for 2013 out of 2,300 agents of RE/MAX of New England. This is the second time in three years that Dembowski has achieved the rank. She works in the Marblehead office of RE/MAX Advantage Real Estate.

Philippe Berthoud, vice president of The Retirement Financial Center in Danvers, attended J.P. Morgan’s 2014 Wealth Management Summit in New York City. At the summit, Berthoud attended lectures by global strategists that dealt with asset allocation, opportunistic strategies, equities and international markets.

Shawn Donovan, a resident of Peabody, has been named vice president of the Healthcare Group at BOND, a Boston construction manager. Donovan will serve in the firm’s health care group, which handles construction management for health care clients and projects, including construction of the West Suburban Cancer Center in Needham and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s $10 million Jimmy Fund Clinic.

Liza Indiciani Studio of Dance in Beverly is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The studio is owned by Danvers resident Liza Indiciani.

Brookwood Financial Partners has acquired Comerica Tower, an 11-story office building in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from Beacon Investment Properties in Florida. Headquartered in Beverly, Brookwood Financial Partners is a private equity firm that acquires real estate and invests in private companies.

Bella Sera Bridal, a special-occasion dress boutique in Danvers, has added Jodi Mantia of Saugus and Annie Kelley of Billerica to its staff. They will serve as receptionists.

Giving

The Masconomet Music Parents Association, a nonprofit corporation run by volunteers seeking to promote music education in the Masconomet Regional High School community, has received a $5,000 donation from Dan Palmier, a local businessman, in support of MMPA’s music awards. The awards help subsidize music scholarships that are given annually to deserving music students who play an instrument or sing.

New business

Luxebar, a beauty salon, celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location, 1 Sylvan St., Unit A, Peabody. The salon provides blowouts, extensions, manicures, pedicures and facial waxing.
