Peabody resident Edwin Shanahan was named executive director of the DD Independent Franchise Owners, which represents the largest independent association of Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owners in the United States. Shanahan is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and served as chief executive officer of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.

David Provost

was named the head of school for Glen Urquhart School, a K-8 school in Beverly Farms. Provost earned a Bachelor of Arts from Union College and a Master of Education from Lesley University. For the past eight years, Provost served as head of school at Nantucket New School. He studied English literature at Oxford University and completed a fellowship at the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. Provost is also the co-founder of the National Small Schools Conference.

Boxford resident Patricia Callahan

was named the new comptroller at North Shore Community College, where she will manage the school’s fiscal affairs department, develop and implement internal controls, and prepare annual financial statements. Callahan will also serve as audit liaison for NSCC. Callahan has been employed with NSCC since 1995 and most recently served as the school’s procurement manager.

Lisa Buettner, president of Anchor Consulting in Danvers, in conjunction with her client Hewlett-Packard, was awarded an Excellence in Practice citation from the American Society for Training and Development for License to Practice, a five-month development program for Hewlett-Packard’s global executive sales leaders. Buettner developed License to Practice with Hewlett-Packard in 2004 and has co-managed it through 2012. License to Practice also successfully launched Hewlett-Packard’s first global Sales University in 2010.

Milestones

American Renal Associates, one of the nation’s largest providers of outpatient kidney dialysis services, will relocate its headquarters from Cherry Hill Corporate Center to 500 Cummings Center in Beverly. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Carlucci , a Beverly resident, co-founded American Renal Associates 12 years ago.
