Beverly Main Streets has elected the following new members to its board of directors: Rick Alpern, president of Single Source Marketing; Julia Campbell, CEO and president of J. Campbell Social Marketing; Susan Goganian, director of the Beverly Historical Society; Jon Hurst, president of the Retailers Association of Massachusetts; Rick Mooney, president of Sterling Insurance Agency; Dayna Morton, operations manager of Micro Support Group; Deanna Pierpan, a Beverly resident and sales associate at Coldwell Banker; and Thaddeus Siemasko, principal of Siemasko + Verbridge.

Thomas Alexander of Alexander & Femino, Beverly; Lawrence Morse of Lawrence B. Morse & Associates, Danvers; Beth Anne Bower, from Salem State University; Michael Spanos, of Business Systems Consultants in Beverly; and Kristin Zampell Noon, from the Wenham Museum, were among eight individuals recently nominated to serve on the board of commissioners of the Essex National Heritage Commission for a three-year term. The nominations were announced at the commission’s spring meeting held at Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill on April 10. Working in collaboration with the National Park Service and other partners, Essex Heritage promotes public/private partnerships and develops and implements programs that preserve, promote and enhance regional awareness of the unique historic, cultural and natural resources found within the Essex National Heritage Area.

Salem Five bank’s website, SalemFive.com, has recently been named the most spectacularly designed website in the banking industry by The Financial Brand, an online publication that provides strategic analysis and insight into financial branding. The website, which is the only one in New England to be ranked, is based on listening-inspired design created with the help of customer feedback and extensive user testing. It features customizable graphics that capture the essence of New England and a clean look that makes it easy to access the most popular features and information. The website features the three winning entries from last summer’s Salem Five “We Love It Here” Facebook photo contest, as well as other iconic regional scenes that visitors can choose as their preferred home page picture. A widget allows easy account login, provides key contact information and current interest rates, and displays a quick link to live chat, which allows customers to connect directly with a bank representative. Salem Five is one of the only banks in the region to offer a live chat feature. SalemFive.com has a user satisfaction rate of 97.5 percent, and the bank’s technology team continues to solicit feedback in order to fine-tune the site and adapt to changing customer needs.
