Keller Williams Realty recognized Beverly resident Paul Herrick for 10 years of service with the firm. Herrick was one of the original agents when Keller Williams opened its Beverly office in 2002. Since joining Keller Williams, Herrick has participated in 903 property sales and closed in excess of $222 million in sales and purchases. He is a member of the Salem Rotary. Keller Williams Beverly office employs 116 agents and is at 500 Cummings Center.


Middleton resident Joanne Plourde was promoted to chief operating officer at Northeast Arc, a nonprofit agency that supports people living with disabilities. Most recently, Plourde served as the day services division director at Northeast Arc, starting the transportation component, expanding services and taking the lead role in the agency’s strategic planning process. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and completed a master’s certificate with honors in human service management at Suffolk University.


Axcelis Technologies in Cherry Hill Park, Beverly, held its third annual Employee Golf Outing in August at Gannon Golf Course in Lynn. The annual event is organized by a group of volunteer employees self-named the F@B Team (Fun at Beverly). This year’s turnout was the biggest yet and raised more than $4,400, which was donated to Operation Troop Support and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.


Pingree School in Hamilton received a $14 million bond from MassDevelopment to build an athletics center and an addition to its theater. The theater addition will include practice rooms and studios for ceramics, dance and recording. Pingree expects to begin construction this spring, with the project generating about 50 construction jobs. First Republic Bank purchased the bond. Pingree School is an independent secondary day school that enrolls about 335 students.


The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Dinis Restaurant & Lounge, 135 Washington St., and Get in Shape for Women, 10 Sylvan St. The PACC also hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Crown Trophy’s new location at 1 Sylvan St.


Laser Quest Danvers, 139 Endicott St., joined 55 other Laser Quest franchises in North America in celebration of its 20th birthday. As part of the milestone, Laser Quest Danvers offered half-price games, pizza, cake and prizes. The Laser Quest concept was developed in England and migrated to North America in 1992. Laser Quest franchises are also in France, Holland and Mexico.
