Tamara Vesel, a specialist in pediatric palliative care, has joined Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston to provide hospice and palliative care to adults and children.

Previously, she was on the staff at Children’s Hospital Boston and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she directed the fellowship program in interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care and was a member of the pediatric advanced care team. She has also worked as the medical director of the pediatric intensive care unit at Tufts New England Medical Center.


Beverly resident Heather Tamilio was appointed clinical manager at Best Home Care’s Middleton office. Tamilio, a 2002 Beverly High School graduate, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work at Salem State University. Most recently, she served as director of social services at Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers.


Salem resident Mary Appello joined Sagan Realtors in Swampscott as a real estate agent, serving Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem and surrounding communities.
