Beverly resident Maureen Trefry
joined the YMCA of the North Shore’s Board of Trustees. Trefry joins 10 existing YMCA trustees in their role of managing the investment strategy of the Y’s endowment. Trefry is vice president of wealth management for Eastern Bank and is also involved with the North Shore United Way Finance Committee, Beverly Rotary, Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston Planning Giving Committee, and a member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council.

The CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort Boston-North Shore, 50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, celebrated the beginning of a $10 million renovation project, which will convert the hotel into a DoubleTree by Hilton this fall. Renovations include updates to the meeting space and the addition of new technological amenities. After renovations are complete, the hotel will be branded as the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-North Shore and will include 365 rooms, more than 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, an oversized fitness center, a pool with a 65,000-square-foot water park activity center, and an on-site spa.
