Melanie Whynott and Scott Lovell were married Sept. 1, 2007 at Misselwood in Beverly, by justice of the peace Daniel Griffiths. A reception immediately followed.
Melanie is the daughter of Charles and Rosemary Whynott of Gloucester. She was given in marriage by her parents.
Maid of honor was Ashley Rutan of Gloucester. Bridesmaids were Amy Pinney of Granville, Danielle Pfeil of Lynnfield, Cheri Spencer of Peabody and Bogusha Gatarz of Boston.
Scott is the son of Thomas and Claire Lovell of Granville.
Best man was Timothy Durken of Newton. Ushers were Christopher Harvey of Chicago, Jason Prueher of Fairfield, Conn., David Pfeil of Lynnfield and David Case of Glastonbury, Conn.
Melanie is a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, Washington and Lee University and Suffolk University Law School. She is an attorney at the Law Offices of Burton J. Hass in Malden.
Scott is a graduate of Southwick High School and Clark University. He is a senior software engineer for Endurance International in Burlington.
The couple honeymooned for two weeks in the Greek Islands.
They reside in Malden.
