Phyllis Smith of 13 Hart Road, Newburyport would like to announce the engagement of her daughter, Melissa Harnch Smith, to Joshua Ames Burke of Boston.
Melissa is a graduate of Newburyport High School and Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. She is a medical sales representative for Abbott Laboratories.
Joshua is a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, N.H. and also graduated from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in safety management. He is a wine broker for Oriel Wines covering the greater New England area.
They reside outside Boston and a winter 2008 wedding is planned.
