Ken and Helen Beal of Gloucester are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Kate Beal, to Matthew Craig Davis, son of Dr. Robert and Ellen Davis of Broomall, Pa.
Miss Beal is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer L. Beal of Southwest Harbor, Maine and the late Dr. and Mrs. Reginald F. Johnston, formerly of Concord. Mr. Davis is the grandson of Annette Davis and Muriel and the late Stanley Albin of Media, Pa.
Miss Beal is a 1997 graduate of the Pingree School, South Hamilton, and a 2001 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, R.I. with a BFA in photography. She is a senior graphic designer at Clarkson Potter/Publishers, a division of Random House Inc., in New York.
Mr. Davis is a 1997 graduate of the Haverford School, Haverford, Pa. and a 2001 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, R.I. with a BFA in illustration. He is the creative projects director for FruitFlowers in Broomall.
A May 2008 wedding is planned.
