Rachel D. Friedman and Domenic J. Pizzo

Linda and Gerald Friedman of West Hartford, Conn. proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Dawn Friedman to Domenic John Pizzo, son of Domenic and Joanne Pizzo of Salem.

Rachel is a 1999 graduate of William H. Hall High School, West Hartford, Conn. and a 2003 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn. earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. The bride-to-be received her Master of Arts in Public History from Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, Conn. in 2006 and is currently a Customer Experience Manager for GAP, Inc., Swampscott.

Domenic is a 1999 graduate of St. John's Preparatory School, Danvers, and a 2003 graduate of Quinnipiac University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. The groom-to-be received his Master of Arts degree in e-Media from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and is currently the Business Manager for Colonial Cadillac, Danvers.

An Oct. 2009 wedding is planned in Farmington, Conn.

Charlie enjoys playing golf, dining among friends and loves to spoil his grandchildren.

    Kelly is mulling the creation of a two-story dealership out of the vacant former Borders Books and Music store on Andover Street in Peabody. The Danvers native and the company's president, Brian Kelly, acquired the property in December.

    The school has done this in the past, but this time was different. This time they sent them to a soldier from Salem, U.S. Army Pfc. Michael Levesque.
