Interstate 93 goes from three lanes in Massachusetts to two lanes in New
Hampshire, causing bumper-to-bumper traffic during peak travel hours. Plans
to expand the highway in New Hampshire to three lanes have been in the
works for 20 years. The price tag has gone from $35 million to $700
million.
