---- — WENHAM — The Hamilton-Wenham League of Women Voters will sponsor a public forum on Wednesday to discuss two state ballot questions, one dealing with assisted suicide and the other with medical use of marijuana.
The forum, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bessie Buker Elementary School, 1 School St., Wenham, will also include an explanation of two local warrant issues.
Speaking in favor of Question 2 on the state ballot, prescribing medication to end life, will be Dr. Paul Spears, a representative from Yes on Dignity. The speaker against, Dr. Alexandra Cist, will speak for the Committee Against Physician Assisted Suicide.
Ballot Question 3 has to do with medical use of marijuana. Speaking for it will be a representative from the Committee for Compassionate Medicine. Speaking against it will be Marilyn Belmonte from Vote No on Question 3.
The second hour of the forum will be devoted to an explanation of the Hamilton-Wenham School Committee’s capital request from the two towns for a $2 million debt exclusion.
It is being presented in two articles because one project requires separate financing.
The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election is Oct. 17.
