Laura E. Ruddy and Michael Greene

Margaret and Joseph Ruddy of Tequesta, FL announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth, to Michael Greene, son of Cynthia and Larry Greene of Germantown, Maryland (formerly of Peabody, Massachusetts).

The future bride, a 2003 graduate of The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. She is currently studying for her MBA at Suffolk University and works at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The future groom, a 1997 graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in Peabody, Massachusetts, earned an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts at Horry Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is currently a Marketing Associate for Sysco Food Service in Boston, Massachusetts.

Following a four-year courtship, the bride-to-be was given a surprise proposal at Wright's Tower in Medford, Massachusetts. The couple plans to wed in the spring of 2012.
