North Shore religion news in brief

Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church will host its annual Spring Sale on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 188 Elliott St., Route 62, on the Beverly/Danvers town line. Plants, power tools, new clothing, books, toys, small furniture, antiques and other items will be on sale. Games and activities for children are planned, with plenty of freshly cooked doughnuts for everyone. All proceeds will go to the church’s outreach projects, one of which is updating the church’s fire alarm system for the Family Promise program, which provides housing for homeless families. Women of all ages are invited to a scarf-dyeing party on Saturday, May 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Peter Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean St., Beverly. All materials, including scarves and dyes, will be provided, and participants will take home their creations. The cost is $35 per person and $60 for two people. Proceeds benefit the church. Space is limited, and advance reservations with payment are required. Those interested in attending should mail their names, contact information and checks, made payable to St. Peter Church (include Scarf Sensation in the memo), to St. Peter Episcopal Church, Attn: Scarf Sensation, 4 Ocean St., Beverly, MA 01915. The community is invited to attend the Congregational Church of Topsfield’s 350-year celebration concert on Sunday, May 19, at 5 p.m. in the Meeting House, located at the corner of Main and Washington streets in Topsfield. The concert will feature the Combined Choirs, CCoT Chancel and Handbell Choir, the Arlington Ward Choir of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, organ and trumpet accompaniment, narration, and audience participation.
