In recognition of Mother’s Day, Branch Church in Danvers will offer free family portraits on Sunday, May 12, after the 10 a.m. worship service. Sittings are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and each family will receive an 8-by-10-inch print and digital pictures on a CD. Portraits will be available for pickup on Sunday, May 19. The Hamilton-Wenham Public Library presents “Inspirational Evenings” featuring Jorgelina Zeoli’s video series titled “Miracles,” which incorporates Zeoli’s two autobiographical films about healing from trauma through self-awareness, spirituality, music and art. Book signings and videotaped discussions with holistic practitioners, trauma survivors and members of different faiths will follow both films. The series will continue May 13 and 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at 14 Union St., Hamilton. To reserve a spot, call the library at 978-468-5577.

“Images of Jewish Women in American Film,” a film and discussion series sponsored by the Jewish Women’s Archive, will trace cultural representations of and attitudes toward Jewish women in American films in the past 50 years. The series includes “Private Benjamin,” June 5, 7 p.m., JCC in Marblehead; and “Kissing Jessica Stein,” July 22, 7 p.m., Aviv Centers in Peabody. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. The Christian Women’s Connection May brunch will be held Monday, May 13, from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the Lighthouse Point Room at the Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott St., Route 62, Danvers. There will be a cooking demonstration by The Pampered Chef and Judith Warren will tell of her search for the world’s idea of success — when she found it, she discovered it was lacking. Brunch is $13 inclusive and free child care is available for children up to age 5. Reservations are required by Saturday, May 11.
