Join teacher and naturalist Scott Santino for a hike under the calm light of the December full moon, known as the Cold Moon, at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, 87 Perkins Row, Topsfield. Hike through forest, field, and wetland habitats while looking and listening for owls, coyotes, beavers, and other nocturnal wildlife. Hike takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. This adult program is $14 for members, $16 for nonmembers. Meet in the barn and don't forget to dress warmly. Register by calling 978-887-9264.

Cynthia Fowler, chair of the Department of Art and associate professor of art at Emmanuel College, presents “Andy Warhol: Pop Artist Extraordinaire” as part of Salem Athenaeum’s Pop Art Series exploring 20th-century art. Her presentation starts at 7 p.m. at the Athenaeum, 337 Essex St., Salem. Cost is $10 for Athenaeum members, $15 for nonmembers, free for students with ID.
