Award-winning artist Kate Gilmore will give a talk at Montserrat College of Art, room 201, Oddfellows, second floor, 194 Cabot St., Beverly, tonight at 7:30. Gilmore questions the role of documentation in performative work and expands the role of video as a medium beyond the binary purpose of video, as either document or art, to a point where it is both, and functions as one of many sites where the artwork takes place.
