Kevin Mahar, past president of the IUE-CWA 201 union and president of the union’s retirees, and Susan Strauss, shop stewardess and one of the first female machinists, will present the history of unions at General Electric and videos of the 1959 strike. This informative talk takes place at 10 a.m. at the Explorers Lifelong Learning Institute Center, 10 Federal St., Salem. All are welcome. Donations will be accepted from nonmembers in attendance.
