Enjoy a Fat Tuesday, Mardi-Gras-themed, pre-Lent celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church of the Northshore. The event features all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and all the fixings along with music, raffles and activities for children. Everyone is welcome to attend. For Christians, Fat Tuesday, also known as Shrove Tuesday, marks the last day before Lent, which is traditionally a time of abstinence and giving things up, including certain foods such as meat, fish, fats, eggs and milky foods. Admission is free, but free-will donations will be accepted and donated to Haven From Hunger in Peabody. Plenty of off-street parking is available. The event will be held in the church's O'Neill Hall, located at 46 Cherry St., Danvers. For more information, contact the All Saints Parish office at 978-774-1150.
Celebrate President Abraham Lincoln's birthday with coffee, tea, philosophy, and facts about good ole' “Honest Abe” during Flint Public Library's Literary Cafe, a program for adults.
