Two free author events designed for kids are planned:

  • Meet children’s book author Jane Sutton who will read from her book “Don’t Call Me Sidney” from 10 a.m. to noon at NSJCC, 240 Lynnfield St., Peabody. After book reading and signing, meet the NSJCC staff and tour the classrooms. Event includes refreshments and balloon-animal fun with Brucealooney. All are welcome.   • Author and mixed media artist C.L. Martin will do a book reading and signing of “Luna Hijinks” from 2 to 4 p.m. at Marblehead Arts Association, 8 Hooper St., Marblehead. Brushstrokes Gallery will host an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. for an exhibit of works by Endicott College’s Bachelor of Fine Arts faculty and students.
