---- — Get ‘trashed,’ give books

Dumpster divers, library patrons and members of the community alike are invited to wear trashy outfits to the Trashfinders Ball on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Franco-American Club, 44 Park St., Beverly. Everyone is encouraged to bring their most-prized trash finds to the ball and submit them for judging. The event includes live music by the Found Objects and plenty of traditional junk food. Don’t forget to wear a secondhand or recycled outfit for the Trashion Show. Bruce Orr of the Mudeye Puppet Company will be present to defend his crown after winning last year’s ball. Tickets cost $10 at the door; proceeds will be used to purchase books for the Beverly Public Library’s Bookmobile collection. For more information, contact Sean Devlin at
