JOURNEYS OF HOPE FALL FROLIC FUNDRAISER. Friday, Nov. 1, 8 p.m. to midnight, Vittori-Rocci Post, 143 Brimbal Ave., Beverly. Food, music, dancing, raffles, cash bar and more to benefit the Journeys of Hope Day Program, a nonprofit organization serving homeless and at-risk young adults between the ages of 18 to 23 on the North Shore. $35 person. GOODNESS GRACIOUS 5K RUN FOR RESCUE. Saturday, Nov. 2, noon, beginning near the lighthouse at Chandler Hovey Park in Marblehead, then traveling around Marblehead neck. A 5K fun run/walk for both recreational and serious athletes and their dogs; solo runners/walkers are welcome, too. Official race (chip) timing provided by Race Wire. Refreshments, raffles, and prizes for fastest finishers and funniest costumes. $35 registration fee includes a free T-shirt and a goodie bag (while supplies last). All net proceeds benefit a group of New England animal charities, including the Friends of Marblehead’s Abandoned Animals. Details and registration at www.run4rescue.org.

“ELKMANIA.” Saturday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m., Beverly/Salem Elks Lodge, 39 Bow St., Beverly. Doors open at 7 p.m.; bell time is 7:30 p.m. Elkmania features a night of wrestling with some of the biggest wrestling stars in New England. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for a chance to win prizes from event sponsors. $10 ticket available at Harrison’s Comics & Collectibles, 252 Essex St., Salem. All proceeds benefit the Elks National Foundation, which supports youth programs, veteran services and scholarships. www.elkmania.com.

CA$H FOR CANDY. Monday, Nov. 4, and Tuesday, Nov. 5, 100 Highland Ave., Suite 103, Salem. Highland Dental Group in Salem holds its fifth annual CA$H for Candy event. Children can bring their candy to the office where they will receive $1 for each pound of candy donated. The candy, along with toothbrushes, will be sent to troops serving overseas.
