Church in the Cove Strawberry Festival, 3 to 7:30 p.m., Church in the Cove, 167 Hale St., Beverly. An evening of fun, food, face painting and music by Charlie Dawson and Embrace Change. $8/ticket, includes strawberry shortcake or ice cream sundae with a beverage. Ham and Bean Supper, 5:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church of Hamilton and Essex, 391 Bay Road, Hamilton. Event includes silent auction featuring Red Sox items, home-baked cookies, baskets, framed photographs, grocery gift certificates and more. All proceeds go toward the church’s local missions. $7 suggested donation per person. Reservations requested at 978-468-1256.

Eighth annual “All You Need is Love” benefit, 7 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, 28 Mugford St., Marblehead. An evening of Beatles covers performed by a variety of acoustic singer-songwriters, including Melody Makers, Jim Trick, Addy & Julia, Kerri Powers, Heather Styka, Barbara Cassidy Band, Kayla Ringelheim, and Scrambled Eggs. Proceeds will help send musicians into schools for workshops and concerts, and also support the church. $20 adults, $5 students and children, or $45 family package. Refreshments served. Luncheon and Flower Communion, 10 a.m., Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn, 101 Forest Ave., Swampscott. Service includes Flower Communion in honor of the departing interim minister, the Rev. Judy Smith-Valley. The 2013-2014 board of trustees will be installed. Annual Yard Sale, 8 a.m. to noon, Clifton Lutheran Church, parking lot, 150 Humphrey St., Marblehead. To benefit mission projects the church supports year round. Annual Beach Service, 10 a.m., Fisherman’s Beach, Humphrey Street, Swampscott. Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn hosts an outdoor worship service on the beach, titled “Breaths,” which focuses on the meanings of breath in different world traditions; the interconnected nature of all life; and the need for stewardship of the environment.
