---- — Help Elliot’s Fund

Elliot Carlin Handin was diagnosed with infant leukemia when he was only 3 months old. Despite defeating the odds against his survival, Elliot, now 7, lives with many side effects from the harsh treatment that ultimately saved his life. In honor of Elliot, The Nightingale Knitters of Danvers and surrounding areas will host the seventh annual “Le Petite Boutique” on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers. The boutique features hand-knitted and crocheted items, an opportunity drawing, and a bakery with holiday treats. All proceeds will benefit Elliot’s Fund, which supports research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to find a less toxic treatment and a cure for infants diagnosed with infant leukemia. Admission is free, and the library is handicapped-accessible. For more information, call Katy Carlin at 978-594-1468.
