Delve into ‘Flying Books’
Children can let their imaginations soar at the Peabody Essex Museum’s “Story Trails: When Books Fly” event, set for Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at East India Square in Salem. Visitors will participate in a reading of William Joyce’s “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore,” then watch the Academy Award-winning short film based on Joyce’s story. Following the film, attendees will have the opportunity to create their own animated flip book to take home. The event is open to children, ages 5 to 8, who are accompanied by an adult. Participants should meet at the information desk. Tickets are available on the day of the program. For more information, visit www.pem.org/calendar or call 978-745-9500, ext. 3011.
