The Music At Eden’s Edge 2013 Concert Series continues today at 2 p.m. as violinist Joshua Peckins, bassoonist Neil Fairbairn, cellist Velléda C. Miragias, and violist Maria Benotti perform music by Ludwig van Beethoven, François Devienne, Eugène Bozza, and Henry Purcell. The performance fits with the series' theme for July: “High Jinks and Summer Scapes — A String Trio, A Bassoon Quartet, and Assorted Escapades.” Admission is free, and families with young children encouraged to attend. Calling all sci-fi and fantasy fans: The first meeting of the Peabody Institute Library's Fantasy and Science Fiction Book Club takes place tonight at 7 at the library, 82 Main St., Peabody. Ipswich's Down Town Tuesdays: Music at the Meeting House, features acoustic tunes by Orville Giddings and spoken word by poet, activist and Ipswich native Blaine Hebbel tonight from 8 to 9:30. The free event takes place at 12 Meeting House Green, atop Town Hill in Ipswich.
