Annual EGGstravagana Easter Egg Scramble, Danvers Church of the Nazarene, 181 Dayton St., Danvers. Begins with a Palm Sunday celebration service, 10:30 a.m.; registration check-in begins at noon, and the scramble follows. Scramble features more than 5,000 candy-filled Easter eggs for children up to age 10. 1 p.m., grand prize awarded, and attendees enjoy hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, bounce houses, circus clown, face-painting and balloons given away by the Easter Bunny. "Seven Last Words of Christ," noon, Tabernacle Congregational Church, UCC, 50 Washington St., Salem. The Savoy String Quartet will perform Joseph Hayden's "Seven Last Words of Christ." The performance features seven slow movements corresponding to the "seven last words," and a musical depiction of the earthquake following the crucifixion; piece explores and reveals the emotional resonances inherent in the story of the crucifixion.
