Registration is open for Introduction to Judaism, a free, 25-week course designed for individuals in interfaith relationships wishing to explore Judaism, and for those considering conversion to Judaism. Participants will study Hebrew, Jewish history, holidays, life-cycle events, traditions, ceremonies, prayer and Jewish text. The program is sponsored by the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, which sponsors programs that help keep children Jewish, in partnership with the North Shore Rabbinic and Cantorial Association. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 1, and will be taught by North Shore rabbis at various temples on the North Shore. The Outreach Committee of Holy Trinity United Methodist Church is providing reusable grocery bags with the church’s name for anyone who would like to take one to the grocery store and fill it for the Danvers People to People Food Pantry. A public healing service is offered every third Saturday of the month at 5 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott St., Danvers. The service includes musical worship, a short teaching, Holy Communion and an extended time of personal prayer if requested. A priest will be available to hear confessions. There will be a gluten- and alcohol-free station at the communion rail.
