Blessing of the Animals, 1 to 3 p.m., Endicott Park, 57 Forest St., Danvers. The Rev. Thea Keith-Lucas will preside over the 11th annual blessing, sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, Danvers, and the Perfect Paws Pet Ministry. The gathering during which the priest lays hands on each animal and offers a prayer and a blessing to celebrate the human-animal bond and the love and respect for all of God’s creatures. Benefit Concert, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., St. Thomas School gym, 5 Margin St., Peabody. All proceeds benefit the impoverished children of Santa Lucia and the orphanage Casa Hogar Divino Nino Jesus in Salcedo, Dominican Republic. Entertainment includes Latin music by Lenguas de Fuego, Stacey Vasquez and Grupo Esperanza; dancing by Los Angeles; light rock by Protest; contemporary and pop by Zach and Talia, K. Leigh Regan and Berklee student Stephanie Skye; and praise and worship song by Mike and Anne. Raffle tickets, Dominican pastilitos, pizza, snacks and refreshments available for purchase.
