“The Seven Last Words of Christ,” noon, Tabernacle Church, 50 Washington St., Salem. “The Seven Last Words of Christ” musical worship is comprised of excerpts of baroque pieces; an introduction, seven slow movements corresponding to the last seven words of Christ of the cross, and a musical depiction of the earthquake following the crucifixion. Mime Stations of the Cross, 1 and 5:30 p.m., Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott St., Danvers. Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church presents a half-hour play of the stations of the cross, a visual series of 14 scenes taken from the final hours of Jesus’ life and concluding with his death. “Good Friday Cantata,” 8 p.m., Church of St. Andrew, 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead. Recording artist and songwriter Bob Franke and other musicians will perform Franke’s “Good Friday Cantata”: Meditations on the Passion, an annual cantata that features vocal and instrumental performers from New England and beyond performing songs about Jesus Christ’s passion and contemporary people who have faced figurative crucifixion. $15 donation accepted at the door.
