Children ages 7 to 9 are invited to play fun theater games and act out different characters during a Children's Theater Workshop at 11 a.m. At the end of the one-hour program, children will perform a skit in costumes for their families and friends. The workshop will be held at at the Peabody Institute Library, 82 Main St., Peabody. Advance registration is required at 978-531-0100, ext. 29.

Join staff members from SeniorCare Inc., First Ipswich Bank, and Ipswich Council on Aging as they serve the next Dinner Bell meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 70 Topsfield Road, Ipswich. Everyone, regardless of age or income, is invited for a free, hot nutritious meal. SeniorCare Inc. staff will be available to answer questions and talk with seniors and caregivers about services for elders and adults with disabilities. For more information, visit

Come and sing the classics with guest soloists, guest conductor David Callahan, and a volunteer orchestra as part of Paul Madore Chorale’s 2013 SummerSing at 8 p.m. in Old Town Hall, located at 32 Derby Square in Salem. No rehearsals are necessary and all vocal parts are welcome. Choral scores will be available.
