Join Essex Heritage at Turkey Shore Distilleries for an evening reconnecting to a significant part of New England’s past, and taste a line of handcrafted, local rums. Danvers: Empty Bowls Dinner Party, 6 p.m., St. John’s Prep, Memorial Dining Hall, 72 Spring St. Handmade, one-of-a-kind bowls, created by students at St. John’s, may be purchased at the event to fill with delicious soups donated by local restaurants and food shops. Guests are asked to make a minimum $10 donation per bowl. SwingTown!, St. John’s a cappella group, will provide musical entertainment. All proceeds benefit Haven From Hunger in Peabody.

Salem: PEM/PM: Charleston/Chaplin: 1920s Style, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Peabody Essex Museum, Atrium, East India Square. Celebrate flappers, fashion, film and music from the Roaring ’20s.
