Name: Nancy Forrant
Hometown: Beverly
Description: "I took this on March 19 in downtown Ipswich at the falls behind the EBSCO building. I love how the water reflected the building without actually capturing any of the building. I love landscapes of any kind."
Camera info: Fuji FinePix S2950
PHOTO STAFF CRITIQUE
"There is more to this photo than meets the eye. At first, the image says 'reflections.' But the reflections of the building, trees and house are complemented by the element of the waterfall. The waterfall has motion and adds a different texture, which contrasts with the still water.
"The still water spilling over the waterfall breaks the image into two planes. The edge of the waterfall successfully divides the photo into thirds. By not having the actual building in the photo and using the reflection, the photographer made an interesting composition that creates depth within the image."
