‘The Art of Nature: Hibernation’
Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane tomorrow from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary’s Nature Center for a presentation highlighting the sanctuary’s hibernating and non-hibernating animals. Following the presentation, adventurers will take a walk outside and try to locate the animals mentioned. After exploring some of the sanctuary, attendees will return to the Nature Center to sculpt a clay likeness of an animal of their choice and a watercolor background illustrating its habitat. The event is suitable for families with children ages 6 to 12. The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for children; discounts are available to Mass Audubon Society members. All materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to dress warmly for the outside portion of the program. Registration and more information are available at 978-887-9264 or email@example.com. Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary is at 87 Perkins Row, Topsfield.
